JSON/CSV Converter uses minimal browser storage. This policy explains what storage mechanisms we use, how they work, and how you can control them.

We use only essential storage mechanisms needed for the tool to function properly:

• localStorage: Browser-based storage for user preferences
• Session Storage: Temporary storage for active conversion sessions
• Regular Cookies: None used (we do not implement cookies)

3. localStorage Usage Details

Purpose: Store user-specific preferences and data locally

What We Store:

• conversion-templates: Your saved column configuration templates (up to 50 entries)
• conversion-history: Recent conversion records for quick access

Duration: Indefinite (until manually cleared by you)

Data Type: JSON-formatted configuration and metadata (no personal information)

4. Session Storage

We may use session storage for temporary data during conversion operations:

• Clears automatically when you close the browser tab
• Never persists across browser sessions
• Used only for active conversions in progress

5. Standard Cookies

We do not use:

• Tracking cookies
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Advertising cookies
• Third-party persistent cookies
• Profiling cookies

6. How to Manage Your Storage

Clear localStorage:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data
• Firefox: Options → Privacy → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove
• Edge: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies

For Current Website Only:

• Right-click → Inspect → Storage → Local Storage → Select domain → Delete entries
• Or clear all browser storage for the domain in Settings

7. Do Not Track

We respect your browser's "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Since we don't perform any tracking, your DNT preference has no effect on our service.

8. GDPR & Privacy

localStorage usage is not personally identifiable. The data stored is:

• Not linked to any personal information
• Not shared with third parties
• Not used for profiling or marketing
• Entirely under your control

9. Browser Settings

You can control localStorage at the browser level:

Disable localStorage:

• This may limit the tool's functionality (templates and history won't be saved)
• You can disable it per-site or globally in browser settings
• The tool will still work, but preferences won't persist

10. Third-Party Services

The Converter does not integrate with third-party services. We do not use:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Amplitude, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Social media tracking pixels
• Cloud analytics platforms

11. Privacy by Default

The Converter is designed with privacy-first principles:

• No unnecessary data collection
• No profiling or user tracking
• No data transmission to servers
• Full user control over all stored data

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated on this page with an updated date.
